An innovative platform to connect generations

Buddy4All is a research project building a bridge between generations to strengthen the social inclusion of seniors and younger adults. Buddy4All provides a novel approach to support older and younger adults, through:

• Cross-generational interaction between younger and older generations

• Virtual Activities with location-based mixed-reality games and cognitive training for fun cross-generational activities and to enhance mental and physical health

• Professional support: Access to professional support for sensitive issues

Consortium Partners

The development of Buddy4All requires a holistic and interdisciplinary approach. Experts from the areas of Information Technology, Software Development, Human-Computer-Interaction Design, Software Architecture, User Interface Design, Psychology and Social Work all contribute to the project.

The project Buddy4All is carried out under the AAL Programme co-funded by the European Union and national funding authorities in Austria (BMK, Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology), Switzerland (Swiss Innovation Agency Innosuisse) and Portugal (Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia FCT).
